Psychotherapy is the practice, method and art form of helping individuals address psychological and emotional distress. It is the process of helping a client to become more conscious of his/her unconscious feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and motives for behaviors. Psychotherapy is a process of talking through and releasing repressed emotions and thoughts, discovering new ways of coping, and acquiring increased self knowing for living a healthier life.

There are various modalities for therapy that can be utilized for addressing problems and concerns of a client. The modality and type of therapy is individualized to each client, and the identified needs and goals.
